Problem

Why can't I just meet Ellen as an adult and not my parents, esp. dad, meet her 1st, too, and ruin what Ellen was?  They aren't being considerate and following an etiquette.  They may have gotten personal.  That's cheating and lying, Ellen meets no one it seems.  Why would I lose my chance, like they killed her and it wasn't like I'd meet her?
